Hope House is seeking a responsive and trauma-informed clinical professional to join our team as a full-time Children’s Therapist. This role is responsible for providing clinical counseling and care to child survivors of domestic violence and to their non-offending parent as requested.

• Full-Time, Exempt, Salaried
• Starting Rate of Pay: $54,000 per year
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday with some evening and weekends required. Therapists are expected to work a schedule that accommodates clients’ varied needs.
• On-Call: required on a rotating basis

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized safety plans that address immediate risk.
• Administer initial mental health assessments for clients entering services, including assessing the psychological, emotional, and behavioral impacts of domestic violence.
• Develop client-centered individualized treatment plans, and monitor and evaluate progress toward treatment goals.
• Provide regular individual therapy, including managing a caseload of approximately 20 clients.
• Use evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as trauma-informed, CBT, and DBT.
• Offer immediate support and intervention in crisis situations and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
• Provide clinical case support as needed.
• Facilitate support or psycho-educational groups.
• Maintain clinical files and documentation according to legal and ethical guidelines, quality assurance standards, and grant reporting/auditing requirements.
• Adhere to professional code of ethics and maintain licensure in accordance with state and federal regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field from an accredited institution; and
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Missouri.
o Provisional licenses will be considered if actively pursuing full licensure and under appropriate supervision. Free clinical supervision may be provided by Hope House.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Coursework or specialization in trauma, domestic violence, or crisis intervention
• Certifications in trauma-informed therapeutic modalities (e.g., EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT)
• Previous experience working with children ages 4-18
