Food Resources in Missouri
Post Date: November 11, 2025
The federal government has been shut down for more than five weeks. A ruling this week from a federal Rhode Island Judge will require the presidential administration to fully fund the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Immediately following the decision, the administration filed an appeal with the First Circuit Court of Appeals, meaning SNAP benefits may still be at risk.
The ongoing uncertainty with federal assistance programs means that communities are coming together to fill gaps in food access for community members. If you have not already connected with your local food pantries, food bank, or other community assistance programs, now is the time to do so. Creating these partnerships can help ensure that survivors and their families are accessing the resources they need. Additionally, having strong connections with local churches, food pantries, and social groups can make community efforts like food and resource drives easier.
Below is a list of food resources you can use to find programs near you. You can use these resources in addition to partnerships you currently have to connect survivors or community members with food in your area. MOCADSV created a downloadable, printable version of this list so you can share with staff, survivors, and community members.
