Dear [##NAME OR ORGANIZATION NAME##],
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Throughout April, [##AGENCY NAME##] will participate in various awareness campaigns to educate the community on the prevalence of sexual assault and where to find resources to support survivors. We invite you to participate in a statewide initiative to light Missouri teal on April 29, 2026, in recognition of Denim Day, an international sexual assault awareness day. You can participate by changing your outdoor lighting to teal lighting. Your participation in lighting the state teal honors sexual assault survivors and advocates while reminding communities of the resources available to them. If you are able to participate, please also consider sharing images of your building with teal lighting to the hashtag #LightMissouriTeal or #Light[##YOUR CITY##]Teal.
If you are unable to change the lighting of your business, we would love to see your organization participate in Denim Day by encouraging team members to wear denim clothing. You can share photos of your staff wearing denim clothing on social media with the hashtag #DenimDay and by tagging us [##INSERT SOCIAL MEDIA HANDLE##].
We wanted to bring this to your attention early so you would have enough time to coordinate with other businesses and organizations that already change their lighting for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. We hope we can add your business to list of partners in our community who stand behind survivors.
Help us to light communities across Missouri teal for Sexual Assault Awareness Month!
Best,
[##Signature##]
