Job Description

Shape content that inspires advocates and supports survivors across Texas.

The Texas Association Against Sexual Assault (TAASA) is seeking a Content & Engagement Specialist to ensure our public-facing and member-facing content is survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally resonant. • Manage TAASA’s inventory of printed materials and oversee logistics with printing vendors for replenishment and distribution.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Manager to support social media and public-facing engagement.
  • Partner with the Member Liaison to strengthen member engagement.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise in sexual assault advocacy to ensure content aligns with best practices and movement standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • Deep knowledge and experience in sexual assault survivor advocacy.
  • Demonstrated excellence in writing, editing, and content development.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Independent, self-directed worker with strong follow-through.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to translate complex advocacy concepts into accessible, compelling content.
  • Effective collaborator, able to work across teams and with external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in nonprofit or social service settings.
  • Familiarity with communications, social media, and digital engagement strategies.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Squarespace a plus.

Why You’ll Love Working at TAASA

  • At TAASA, you’ll find meaningful work, supportive colleagues, and a culture that values both mission and people. We believe in:
  • Collaboration that ensures every voice is valued.
  • Impactful work that strengthens advocacy and supports survivors.
  • Flexibility and autonomy that allow you to take ownership of your role.
  • A strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practices.
