The Texas Association Against Sexual Assault (TAASA) is seeking an Executive Assistant to support the Chief Executive Officer and ensure the smooth management of daily operations and cross-agency projects. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and proactive—someone who thrives on keeping things running behind the scenes so leadership can stay focused on advancing TAASA’s mission to eliminate sexual violence in Texas.
About TAASA
Our mission is to be the unifying voice to eliminate sexual violence in Texas. As the statewide coalition of survivors, advocates, rape crisis centers, and allied professionals, we are committed to fostering a culture that respects the fundamental rights and dignity of all.
The Executive Assistant plays a key role in this mission—ensuring the CEO is supported, organizational commitments are met, and internal projects are managed with care and efficiency.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the CEO’s gatekeeper, balancing accessibility with protection of time.
- Manage expense reporting and staff reimbursements in coordination with TAASA’s Finance Department.
- Gather, analyze, and prepare data, reports, and presentations, including executive-level communications.
- Research and prepare documents for CEO meetings.
- Organize and prioritize confidential information, ensuring timely action and attention.
- Keep the CEO focused on high-leverage activities by anticipating needs and delegating when appropriate.
- Troubleshoot challenges and logistics to allow the CEO to focus on leadership and presence.
- Coordinate travel and prepare complex itineraries.
- Record action points and minutes during meetings.
- Manage cross-agency projects and internal reviews as assigned.
- Facilitate communication across the organization to maximize workflow and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least five years of experience providing senior executive-level support.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with precision and discretion.
- Strong judgment and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to act with urgency, anticipate needs, and problem-solve independently.
- Flexibility to adapt to loosely structured situations and changing priorities.
- Positive attitude with the ability to help foster a collaborative, supportive work culture.
