SNAP Benefits Can Now Be Used Online

Food Stamp/SNAP Online Purchasing will now allow Missouri SNAP recipients to use their Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card to purchase eligible food through online retailers Amazon and Walmart. The Amazon and Walmart mobile apps are both live and accepting EBT payment. Though SNAP benefits can be used for grocery purchases, it does not cover delivery or other fees associated with these purchases. Food Stamp/SNAP online purchasing will become a permanent option for Missourians.

The Department of Social Services has received a waiver from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) to extend the Pandemic Food Stamp/Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (P-SNAP) benefits through the month of May 2020. This will allow recipients of SNAP to receive the full maximum amount for their household size.

Missourians who have questions can call the Department of Social Services Family Support Division at, 855-FSD-INFO or 855-373-4636, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
