Examining the Availability of SAFE Kits at Hospitals in the United States

The U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations held a hearing on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, entitled, “Examining the Availability of Sexual Assault Forensic Evidence (SAFE) Kits at Hospitals in the United States.” The purpose of the hearing was to examine the availability of nurses and medical professionals trained to conduct rape kits and the challenges hospitals face in providing access to rape kits.
