Save the Dates: 2012 Census of Domestic and Sexual Violence Services Provided

Please mark your calendars for the following annual surveys. For several years, all domestic violence programs have participated in Domestic Violence Counts, the national one-day census of those served by domestic violence programs.
Because sexual violence services are typically provided in a non-residential setting and some programs might not serve a sexual assault victim each day, Sexual Violence Counts lasts for one week rather than one day to ensure a representative count.
  • National Domestic Violence Counts day begins at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12 and ends at 8:59 a.m. on Thursday, September 13. For more details, see NNEDV’s website.
  • MCADSV’s Sexual Violence Counts week begins at 8 a.m. on Monday, September 17 and ends at 7:59 a.m. on Monday, September 24. MCADSV will send guidance and related materials to member programs.
MCADSV is not a direct service provider.
