2019 MCADSV Statewide Trainings

Please check the online calendar for information about events as they are scheduled. MCADSV also will make formal announcements by email and at Regional Meetings. Below are the confirmed dates and trainers for in-person trainings in 2019. To find out more information about a specific training, click on its title. Trainings will take place at the MCADSV Training Center in Jefferson City unless otherwise noted.

Foundations of Advocacy

This one-day training will include everything an advocate would need to know on their very first day. To reach as many new advocates as possible, this training will be offered once each month from March through November. It will be held both in our training center in Jefferson City and out in location across the state. These trainings are free for all VOCA grantees.

Advocacy in Practice

These skills-based trainings will include Crisis Intervention, Hotline and Safety Planning; Legal Advocacy; and Prevention with additional trainings on Advocacy in Shelter; and Medical Advocacy. All except the Prevention training will be offered two times throughout the year. This series of trainings is open to all advocates-new and seasoned. These trainings are free for all MCADSV members.

Leadership Courses

These courses will be offered for all levels of management. Familiar topics such as grant compliance and money management will be included, but we will also add trainings on HR compliance and Coaching/Building a team. These trainings are free for all VOCA grantees.

Statewide Series

The Statewide Series will include additional training topics and national speakers that would be of interest to our members. These trainings are free for all MCADSV Members.
